Caron - Company Director & Creative Producer (PCM Creative)I’m Caron Lyon, PCM is my company of 29 years. I am a theatre and projects producer with a 20 year career as a stage manager and 10 years as a social technologies entrepreneur. With "PCM immersive" my current horizon is to produce tour-able theatre experiences that blend physical stage performance and auditorium space with VR (Virtual Reality) and XR (Extended Reality) presence to stage extraordinary new work that reaches audiences who would ordinarily have to travel to a big city to see such innovations in live theatre.
As a stage manager I took shows the length and breadth of the UK with the likes of Hull Truck and Red Ladder. I was privileged to work in some of the nations best regional theatres on teams at Sheffield's Crucible theatre and Chichester's Festival Theatre. Over the last 10 years I have been producing events supporting arts and culture institutions through Audience Europe Network, and facilitating entrepreneurs and innovators with a low-cost event streaming solutions. Digital consulting and streaming work took me from Nottingham and London to Rotterdam, Rome and Reykjavik. Following a grant awarded by Arts Council England, The PCM Immersive Staging Company is taking shape. In seed funding territory PCM aims to be a business that makes theatre, in the business of aspiring to make ROI profits for it's investors, which with their ongoing support are fed back into the art that is the foundation of the business. The AndroidicaLabXR with artists Hallidonto is my current funded project, In the summer of 2024 with Jigsaw Ensemble PCM bought Brendan Bradley's VR Musical Non-Player Character to the Edinburgh Fringe for a 24 show run in a 360 projection enabled venue. |
